China School Tour

This tour begins in Shanghai where you will see its best attractions, you then travel to Nanjing to enjoy cooking, farming and visit a local school. You then head onto Xian to see the Terra-cotta Warrior Museum. By train you travel to Beijing to see the Great Wall and students can also enjoy a day at Happy Valley Amuement Park. There are also many other fantastic attractions included along the way.

Itinerary

Day 1
Shanghai (D)
On your arrival in Shanghai airport you will be met and transferred to your accommodation by coach. This evening you will enjoy a group dinner with your local guide.

Day 2
Shanghai (B L D)
This morning you will begin your tour of Shanghai including Nanjing Road, the Bund and the Old Shanghai District. For lunch you will enjoy a Shanghai style banquet. After lunch you experience the 431km/h Meglev train. You then travel to the Pudong district and go up the 88 floor Jinmao Tower.

Day 3
Shanghai / Suzhou / Nanjing (B L D)
After breakfast you check out of your hotel and travel to Suzhou to visit the silk factory. You enjoy a buffet lunch at the factory. In the afternoon you take a boat tour on the Shantang River. You also see the Humble Administrators Garden before checking into your accommodation in Nanjing.

Day 4
Nanjing (B L D)
This morning you transfer to Jinling Tourism School for a cooking class to learn the secrets of Chinese dishes. You will also cook your own Kung Pao Chicken and dumplings. After lunch you take a city tour of Nanjing including Ming Tomb, Lingu Temple and Sun Yatsen Mausoleum. This evening you take a boat tour of Quinhuai River.

Day 5
Nanjing / Li shui / Gao chun / Nanjing (B L D)
Today you take your coach to Li shui to visit a local strawberry farm to experiences a farmers life before heading to Gao chun to see the Qingshan Tea Farm where you pick tea leaves, taste the local green tea and visit the farmer’s house. This afternoon you travel back to Nanjing.

Day 6
Nanjing - Xian (B L D)
After breakfast you visit the Nanjing Massacre Memorial, Jiming Temple and City Wall. You experience a vegetarian lunch in a temple and this afternoon visit a local school in Nanjing. This evening you enjoy dinner at a BBQ steak house before taking the evening train to Xian.

Day 7
Xian (B L D)
This morning you arrive into Xian and check into your accommodation to rest. After lunch you take a city tour and visit the Bell Tower and Muslim quarter. This evening you will enjoy a traditional Dumpling Banquet with Tang Dynasty Dancing Show.

Day 8
Xian - Beijing (B L D)
After breakfast you have a full day tour at the Terra-cotta Warrior Museum. This evening you travel by express train to Beijing.

Day 9
Beijing (B L D)
This morning your train arrives into Beijing. You are transferred to your accommodation for a little rest.
After lunch you take a Beijing city tour and visit the Forbidden City, Tian An Men Square and the Summer Palace. This evening you will enjoy a Beijing Duck Dinner.

Day 10
Beijing (B L D)
Today you will enjoy a Great Wall of China tour. After lunch you visit a Cloisonné factory on the way back to the city. This afternoon you travel to the Beijing Olympic Park and see the Bird Nest and Aquatic Center. This evening you enjoy dinner at a BBQ restaurant.

Day 11
Beijing (B L D)
Today will be a full day at Beijing Happy Valley Amusement Park for all to enjoy there last day in China.

Day 12
Beijing (B)
Today you are transferred to the airport for your flight home.
