Egypt School Tour (example)
Day 1
Cairo (D)
On arrival you are met and assisted through Passport control
formalities, luggage Identification and portage, then transfer
to your hotel for much needed rest. This evening you will
enjoy your first Egyptian dinner.
Day 2
Cairo (B L D)
After breakfast at you will see many of Cairo’s most
amazing sightseeing attractions including a visit to the Pyramids
and Sphinx. After lunch you take a visit to the Pharaonic
Village and walk the old streets of Cairo.
Day 3
Cairo – Alexandria – El Alamein
(B L D)
After breakfast at your hotel you check out. Today you will
travel to Alexandria. On the way you will a desert monastery.
The bibilthequa Alexandrina will be the highlight where you
can a have access to documentation about Alexandria and Alamein.
After lunch you depart by road to Alamein and overnight.
Day 4
El Alamein - Cairo (B L D)
This morning you can have a swim in the sea and after lunch
visit the three World War II cememteries and WW II museum.
This afternoon you return to Cairo.
Day 5
Cairo - Luxor (B L D)
Today you take a visit to a local School "College De
La Salle" , Followed by a visit to another 300 year old
school in Cairo. This afternoon you will see the Citadel and
the world famous Cairo Museum. This evening you will take
a sleeper train to Luxor
Day 6
Luxor (B L D)
On your arrival to Luxor you are transferred to your river
cruise. Today you will visit Karnak & Luxor temples.The
afternoon is free. You have the opportunity to an introductory
course of the Arabic Language during the four nights cruise.
Day 7
Luxor – Efdu - Kom Umbo (B L D)
This morning you sail to Edfu. Edfu is dedicated to the lord
of the sky and shows exceptional preservation that demonstrates
the marvellous architecture. From Edfu you sail on to Kom
Umbo and overnight. Accommodation on cruise.

Day 8
Kom Unbo - Aswan (B L D)
This morning you will visit the Kom Umbo Temple, dominating
a curve of the Nile, this temple strikes the imagination for
its romantic frame. It is astonishing because later it became
a double temple. You will also witness Hareoris with the Head
of the Falcon and Sobek with the head of a crocodile, the
famous mummified crocodile of Kom Umbo which are sights not
to be missed. You will also visit an old sugar factory in
the area before sailing on to Aswan and overnight on your
crusie ship
Day 9 Sunday 12th October
Aswan (B L D)
Today you visit the High Dam, one of the most impressionable
constructions in the region. The Philae Temple, the pearl
of Egypt of Pierre Loti, was built to celebrate the cult of
Isis and was relocated by UNESCO to the island of Agilika
to save it after the construction of the High Dam. The unfinished
Obelisk gives a great deal of information about how the original
builders set out their tasks. This afternoon you see by Felucca”
the Botanic Garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. You overnight
on your cruise ship.
Day 10
Aswan - Mersa Alam (B L D)
Today you take a sailing trip on a wind driven felluka.. You
also visit the Nubian Village, where Local Nubian Tribes live.
This afternoon you drive to the pristine beaches of Mersa
Alam, this is the mecca for divers & snorkelers. Camping
on the sea front.
Day 11
Mersa Alam (B D)
Today is a free day. You may wish to take a snorkelling trip
by boat.
Day 12
Mersa Alam - Cairo (B L D)
This morning you make your way back to Cairo. On the way you
will visit a desert monastery. On arrival back to Cairo you
check in to your accommodation.
Day 13
Cairo (B)
Today your tour ends and you are transferred to the airport
for you flight home.
