With every tour there are 4 main things that we like to include.

3. cultural learning, including meeting the local people, visiting a local school, cooking classes and a farming experience.
4. we will also provide one day that students can really enjoy and look forward to, like an amusement park or special event.

New Zealand School Tour - South Island (example)

Day 1
Christchurch (D)
On your arrival into Christchurch you are met and transferred to your accommodation. This afternoon you will take a city and Museum tour or Maori cultural visit.

Day 2
Christchurch (B L D)
Today you enjoy a half day school visit, including traditional Maori welcome, meeting kiwi buddies and activities. Also visit Antarctic Centre, presentation on “Living and Working in the Antarctic” interactive exhibitions, Haglund vehicle ride

Day 3
Christchurch – Franz Josef (B L D)
Today your coach drives west towards Greymouth with activities en route as time allows including a Dairy Farm visit, Castle rock short walk to see unusual Limestone rock formations and Maori historical site, Shanty town: former gold-mining settlement, steam train ride, pan for gold. This evening enjoy a glow worm walk

Day 4
Franz Josef (B L D)
After breakfast you take a half day guided walk onto Fox Glacier. Visit Lake Matheson glacier: lookouts and easy stroll through forest. Also see the Department of Conservation visitor centre if time allows.

Day 5
Franz Josef – Wanaka (B L D)
Today you drive south then through the Haast Pass and along the shores of glacier lakes. Enjoy beach picnic, ancient forest, waterfalls, and short walks to see wildlife and views and other features of our stunning, World Heritage west coast National Parks

Day 6
Wanaka – Treble Cone (B L D)
Today you can ski Treble Cone and enjoy the exhilarating snow and winter experience. It is the largest skiable terrain, longest groomed trails and has the highest vertical rise in the South Island.
On the edge of the majestic Southern Alps, Treble Cone ski area offers outstanding views across Lake Wanaka and Mt Aspiring, an award winning cafe and unparalleled Snow School clinics.

Day 7
Wanaka – Queenstown (B L D)
Your coach will take you to Queenstown and here you will have the opportunity to Bungy jump and take a shotover jet boat ride.

Day 8
Queenstown(B D)
You will enjoy a free day in Queenstown and this evening take a gondola up mountainside overlooking QTN and experience a luge ride

Day 9
Queenstown – Milford Sound – Te Anau (B L D)
Today you rise early and travel to Milford Sound.  You take a cruise on Milford Sound before your coach takes you to Te Anau and see flightless takahe and other endangered New Zealand species

Day 10
Te Anau – Dunedin (B L D)
This morning you travel to Dunedin take a Wildlife Harbour Cruise to see albatross and other local inhabitants. This afternoon tour chocolate factory (lots of free samples)

Day 11
Dunedin – Christchurch (B)
This morning you drive back to Christchurch and if time allows stopping en route to enjoy bizarre Moeraki Boulders, and historic Oamaru town and shopping time in Christchurch city or Arts Centre before transferred to the airport for your flight home
